Student Handbook

HPES AM Bus Routes   HPES PM Bus Routes Afternoon Dismissal Dismissal from the regular school day is at 2:30 PM each day. All students not participating in an after school program must be picked up by 3:00 PM, due to safety and supervision concerns. After 3:00, the parent/guardian must come into the school to pick their child up. The Assistant Principal will begin calling parents/guardians at 3:00 to pick their child up from school. Other bus routes and transportation information can be found by clicking on the "Bus Routes" link under the "Parents" tab at the top of the screen.

Light Up the Night with Literacy
Our 3rd literacy night was a success! We enjoyed face painting, bookmark making, games, and a blacklight puppet show. Mrs. Bagley  also came to visit and encourage parents to attend one of the eight upcoming meetings concerning possible changes to our school next year.






 Archery
Mr. Polson has been working with the 4th and 5th grade students on archery skills. Everyone has been having fun and staying safe!








A Friendship Adventure with Ronald McDonald
Ronald McDonald paid a visit to Homeland Park to talk with us about friendship, cooperation, bullies, and staying active. We had a great time learning, making sounds, and watching some magic tricks.

Parent Meetings
Mrs. Bagley would like to share a proposed plan with you. This plan would allow Homeland Park to serve as a primary school (grades K-2), and Varennes Academy to serve as an intermediate school (grades 3-5). You are invited and encouraged to attend one of these meetings to learn about this plan. All meetings will have the same presentation. The meetings are scheduled as follows:
